DeNiel fishway
a chute with lateral baffles that reduce the water\'s energy and leave a clear passage for fish to swim over the low barrier. There are no resting areas although pools may be provided for this purpose or to reduce flow velocity. See also pool-and-weir ladder, rock-ramp fishway and vertical slot fish passage
